Fire/Police Stations : Merced Fire Station #55   1  2  Crosby Group provided complete structural engineering design services for this new 6,200 square foot fire station for the City of Merced. The Merced Fire Station #55 houses two apparatus bays and includes dorm rooms, a dining room, kitchen, laundry/storage, exercise room, day room, community room and offices. This one-story wood framed building utilized pre-engineered roof trusses as an efficient means of framing out the large open spaces required at the apparatus bays.
