Libraries : San Jose Educational Park Branch Library   1  2  3   Crosby Group is provided structural engineering services for this 18,000 square foot new library building located adjacent to an existing high school campus. The design includes a curvilinear shaped structure bisected by a high two-story clerestory providing abundant natural light and views of the surrounding landscape. The Library is constructed from a combination of wood and steel and includes adult and children’s collections, a technology center, community rooms, quiet study and group study rooms and a marketplace. Project goals include the latest in technology, high seismic performance, and a LEED Gold certification from the U.S. Green Building Council.
