Office Complexes :Grady Ranch Digital Film Studio   1 Crosby Group provided structural engineering design services for the new Grady Ranch digital film production studio in Lucas Valley, CA. The 262,000sf building was designed in the Mission-style architecture resembling St. Vincent’s School for Boys, and includes two 85 foot tall towers. The new studio was designed to include administration offices, a restaurant, a general store, a wine-tasting room, screening rooms, costume storage, dressing rooms, 19 guest suites and 200-car basement parking. Structural design included a 54-foot tieback retaining wall, 150-foot long-span trusses supporting the roof of the stage areas, steel support grids for lights and sound along with catwalks suspended above the production stages, and an arched glass enclosed grand hall space.
