Crosby Group is providing full structural engineering design services for a new 4-story, 80,000sf office building in downtown Mountain View, California. This developer led construction project has significant site challenges due to its tight property lines with an adjacent multi-story parking garage. Crosby Group brought on our own geotechnical subconsultant to fully understand the challenges and provide cost-effective solutions that minimized the impact to the construction schedule. This structural steel building utilizes moment frames for its lateral system to maximize the available office space and offer unimpeded views to occupants. Additionally, the structure accommodates sustainable features, such as a green roof, to reduce energy demands and thus operational costs.
